Joan Garnand
creates from her home in Tennessee.
Her design styles range from simple elegance to whimsical fun. Joan does hand-painted stationery, uses spare moments at festivals to paint faces, and entertains children at private parties.
A sample of her work is illustrated online.
Talk to her about what you're looking for!

Michael Parks' CD is no longer available.
I admire his music and film work tremendously
and it's been great fun to say that in a very public way.

A Little Browsing...
If the budget's tight for this year's summer fun, you may be able to spice things up a bit with a free plane ride. EAA Young Eagles arranges free flights for kids ages 8-17. Check the website or call your local airfield to find out where the nearest participating pilots are.

When you're traveling and have been enjoying the ease of fast food, but are concerned about the high fat content, consider sushi as an alternative. Many sushi restaurants are casual and provide fresh ingredients. And most kids will give sushi a try. You may even find they'll ask for more later. Here are two sushi restaurants in California and one in Texas. (We'll have more later.)

Tokai Sushi 2279 Eagle Glen PK #107, Corona CA 951-340-0443
At the time of the research, they were also offering an all-you-can-eat option (always double-check)
Sushi Choo Choo, 12149 FM 1960 Rd, Houston, TX (281) 955-2888 (Sushi comes by on a conveyor belt. They also have teriyaki and made-to-order items)
