Hammond Cemetery, North Augusta, Aiken, SC
This is a transcription of the Hammond Cemetery, located on the west side of Martintown Rd. North Augusta, Aiken, SC. The transcription was done 05 OCT 1997 by John C. and Anita M. Rigdon.
This cemetery is well maintained, fenced, with a grassy mown area between the fence and the highway. Just at the edge of the highway is a 5 ft. pyramid granite monument with the following inscription.

Elizabeth S. Garrett Daughter of John Hammond Wife of Steven Garrett was born Oct. 21, 1778? and died Oct. 17, 1850? aged 71 years 11 months and 17 days Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
